Healdsburg Diary

On our way to Calistoga, we stopped at the small city of Healdzburg in Sonoma County. We ended up staying at h2hotel, an eco-friendly hotel that I loved for its modern, trendy ambience and super comfy beds. Healdzburg definitely has a quaint, small town feel. If you do decide to stay the night, one or two nights at the most should do it, as it’s a really small area. I also recommend renting bikes and cruising around the streets. H2hotel has bikes they loan for free so that was another plus. We biked to get coffee in the morning at the Flying Goat and it’s fun to pass all the little charming stores and shops around the square. From our hotel we were also able to walk to nearby bars and restaurants, so you can easily get around walking tipsy after hopping to different wine bars 😉

I would stop at this hotel again just to go back to the Spoon Bar which is the downstairs bar and restaurant of h2hotel attached to the front desk area. I’m saying I would go back here mainly for these Fireside Sours and this panna cotta. The fireside sours were our go-to drinks while staying here. They’re basically the equivalent of a whiskey sour. This was also the best panna cotta I’ve had and I highly recommend it if you like panna cotta and if it’s on the menu. It had unique flavors like pomegranate, honey, and these sugared/candied sage leaves. =P
