NYFW Outfits

*Scroll down for most recently added fashion week outfits =)

Hey there, thanks for checking back! I’m hoping to keep adding my outfits from New York Fashion Week here. I arrived back in LA Tuesday, but I still have yet to unpack and post a lot of pics and outfits from last week. I’m also still catching up on rest as I didn’t sleep much in New York and am back in full swing at my job. Hope you got to follow along on the adventure through my instastories, but if you missed out on my behind the scenes, I hope to update you as I recollect the important events and experiences from fashion week in New York!

This first outfit is a white cape off shoulder overlay sheath dress from Black Halo. It was a perfect fit as the built-in boning provided flattering contouring that comfortably hugged the bodice area so the dress didn’t slip or sag. I definitely didn’t have that problem of fidgeting with it to keep pulling it up. I also paired the dress with a choker by Maison de Morgana, burgundy fur clutch, and rose gold heeled boots from Solewish. Shop this outfit and see more outfits I’ll keep adding below! 😉

For this second outfit I’m adding, it was a nice transition back to actually layering on top of a dress. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the return of the 90’s ‘stick a fitted tee under a strappy dress,’ but it’s always nice to switch things up or back. I’m sure I’ll restyle this pink satin slip dress with a fitted tee under there at some point. I dressed down the look with my new fave Rag & Bone sneakers and for jewelry accessorizing, I  accented with another 90s trend, a simple black velvet choker. To add some character and spunk to the entire ensemble, I completed the look with a mulit-colored French Connection fur clutch/bag. It’s quite the funky bag, but I find that I can wear it with so much to make an outfit pop. This all made for a fun and probably my most comfy outfit during my stay in New York! I’m still brainstorming on what exactly to share from the trip and fashion week so that’s in the works as well as unpacking my bags!! =X Thanks for checking back!

This next outfit was probably my most funky, eccentric outfit for fashion week. I packed along this skirt from Stella & Jamie not exactly sure of what I would pair it with on top. The night before I wore it, I was already craving to just be comfortable and casual after dressing up for 3-4 consecutive days for all the shows, sometimes 3 outfit changes a day. I realized all I had in my luggage were outfits for the shows and that I should’ve brought along more casual clothes during down-time to give myself a break from dressing up, so we made a stop at H&M in Times Square and I was so relieved to buy some plain ol’ t-shirts. The next day as I put on this skirt, it was a last minute decision to throw on this H&M shirt after not liking all the other tops I trialed with it. Surprisingly, I thought the whole ensemble photographed pretty well and the casual tee was a nice contrast to the dramatic skirt. To jazz up the look, I accessorized with Betsy Johnson sunnies, my fluffy, furry clutch, and silver oxfords from Zara. About the necklace, it’s from VSA designs. Even though I myself thought it was peculiar and taboo to dangle a cross around my neck, the line is not so much designed to be worn as religious symbols, but rather the pieces are taken from spiritual, magical, and even gothic-like inspiration and influence and are definitely worth checking out. A lot of their designs are really pretty and the daintier necklaces look so beautiful layered. Similar outfit items linked below!
