Layering dresses can extend from the obviously trending slip styles to maxi dresses as well as a way to carry and wear your maxi styles into these colder seasons. For this look, I restyled a simple, trendy high neck lace top under an older satin, paisley maxi dress I’ve had for a while. I also incorporated my favorite texture this season, velvet, by throwing another old piece of mine, a black velvet military jacket. For footwear, some suede studded burgundy booties from Greycity Shoes also added some rich velvety lookin texture to the ensemble. All the jewel tone hints of emerald, blue sapphire, amber, and ruby along with rich textures of satin, lace, and velvet made for a dramatic, bohemian style look. I know I used some old pieces from my closet, but I linked some similar style finds for you below.
I really love how this outfit and shoot came together. Just goes to show, you don’t have to buy a lot of new clothes to rock a new look if you play around in your closet and get creative with restyling older pieces. I also couldn’t narrow down the pictures in number. There were too many great shots to choose from because the wind and sunset were definitely working in our favor this day =) Have a great Thanksgiving and safe and happy travels! Thanks for checkin out this post!
